Rosa Martha Garcia

Rosa Martha was born to Joseˊ Villarreal and Onora Villareal, January 18, 1943, in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico. She moved to the United States with her family when she was in her early twenties. She met the love of her life Robert Manuel Garcia and they married in 1963, giving them 58 wonderful years of marriage. They lived in Houston, Texas where they raised their four children together.

She is survived by: husband Robert Garcia, children Alex Garcia, Lorena Campbell and husband Malcolm, Veronica Martinez, Silvia Ortiz and husband Jesse. She also leaves to cherish her memory nine grandchildren; Christina, Nicholas, Christopher, Jacob, Sofia, Gabriela, Marissa, Madeline, and Matteo, and five great-grandchildren; Lily, Evelyn, Zoey, Madisyn, and Maximiliano. She is survived by brothers Raul, Hector, Jose, Humberto, and sisters, Alma, Bertha and Nora.

She is preceded in death by father Jose’ Villarreal, mother Onora Villarreal, brother Oscar Villarreal, and sister Dora Garcia.

Rosa Martha was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who worked diligently raising her family and creating a wonderful home for them. Her favorite pastime was spending time with all her family and telling stories of the good ol’ days in her hometown of Nava. She loved flower arranging, cooking, and reading history, especially Mexican history.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a chapel service starting at 10:00 am in The Grand Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home followed by a graveside service.
