Ronald Renee Doze Sr.

He was known to most as “Bodie”. He transitioned peacefully on September 10, 2020 at the age of 62.

Ronald was raised in Trinity Gardens. He attended Easter Elementary, I. M. Terrell Middle School, and Kashmere High School in Houston, Texas. He was a band member; his instrument of choice was the Saxophone. He was a proud graduate of Kashmere High School Class of 1976. He received a band scholarship to Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. While in college, he joined several fraternities: Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Phi Omega, and the Masonic Lodge. Upon completion of college, he joined the military branch of the Army stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

In September 1980 he met and married Marceau Blanchard, to this union three sons were born.

In 1995, he met an old friend from high school, Paula Collins. They formed a relationship and married May 8, 1997. She stayed by his side until his transition.

He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Paula Doze; his five sons, Keenan Harmon of Orlando, Florida, Ronald R. Doze, Jr., Marcanthony Doze, Darren Doze all of San Antonio, Texas and Peter Doze of New Jersey; stepson, Quinton Collins of Houston, Texas; one brother, Herman (Elizabeth) Doze, two sisters, Tarana Doze Smith and Pamela Doze Heitman; his grandchildren, Jevon, Imani, Joel and Danaka ; last surviving uncle, Maxine (Mattie) Doze and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
