Ronald “Carter” Boone, 70, of Missouri City, Texas was called home to be with Jesus on November 30th, 2022. He was born in Houston on June 15th, 1952 to parents Gaylon Dean Boone and Ima Jean Boone where they lived on Farrell Street in North Houston for many years.
Carter graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1972 and began his lifelong career with Honda at one of the first Honda motorcycle dealers in the country. He was a wild young man who spent many days testing the limits of those motorcycles on Berry Road near his north side home.
He met Linda Boone in Houston and married on September 6th, 1980. When they welcomed their first daughter Jenny in 1981 and second daughter Ashley in 1985, he found his place in this world as a father and husband. He placed his family above all else.
Carter’s career with Honda transitioned to auto parts where he worked for over 50 years at various dealerships, most of it with Gillman Companies. He fulfilled two lifelong dreams between 2019 and 2021 - buying a classic Camaro and becoming a proud grandfather, twice!
Carter is preceded in death by his parents Gaylon Boone and Ima Jean Boone, and survived by his wife Linda Boone of Missouri City Texas, daughter Jenny Ferris, son in law Ted Ferris and granddaughters Gracelyn and Olivia of San Diego California, daughter Ashley Boone of Sugar Land Texas, daughter Heather Boone of Portland Oregon, sister Vicki Browell of Jewett Texas, brother in law Melvin Shipman of Baytown Texas, nephew and niece Kelvin and Crystal Shipman and children Luke and Rayna of Baytown Texas, nephew Kasey Shipman and niece Justina Shipman and son Kaden of Hull Texas.
A graveside service will be held at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, followed by a memorial service at Sugar Land Methodist Church at 3:00pm. Pastor Jeff McDowell will be officiating both services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carter’s memory to his grandchildren’s 529 college fund by visiting Ugift529.com and use code B9Z-E6W.
Carter was a man of deep faith who touched many lives and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
