Roman was born February 28, 1947, in Genoa, TX to Tomas and Maria Galvan. In 1963, Roman met Virginia in Houston’s East side, II Ward. The two were each other’s soulmates and became inseparable. After a year of kinship, Roman married his most dedicated best friend and love of his life on February 8, 1964, where they enjoyed 59 years of a loving marriage. This love left a legacy of 5 children, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
He obtained his business degree at Massey Business College. Roman had many professions throughout his life: a painter, truck driver, and management. He was most proud of being elected as precinct judge where he served for two terms. During his terms he helped his community by revamping the neighborhood, and was part of building a library that stands to this day. His most prestigious and honored role was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
While he enjoyed spending his days with the love of his life, he also cherished family celebrations and holiday traditions. Along with spending his Sundays cheering on his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys. His Catholic faith and unwavering love for God was big part of his heart, to be passed on through his legacy.
Survived by his wife Virginia Galvan, his sons, Roman Jr (partner Naomi), Thomas (wife Anna), Ray (wife Rita), Michael (wife Michele), and daughter Therese (husband Doak).
Preceded in death by his father Tomas Galvan, mother Maria Escamilla, his sister and six brothers.
