Roland met the one true love of his life, Edna Mae Clifton on a New Year’s Eve blind date in 1956. They were married shortly thereafter on March 1, 1957.
Rhonda, Alan & Ryan were blessed with loving parents. Being the Godly man that truly loved the Lord Roland raised his children to do the same.
The themes of Roland’s life were simple. Love the Lord and his family. He shared the Word and joys of the Lord with his congregation as he dutifully pastored Trinity Christian Church and Interfaith Praise Church. He continued with the Prime Timers Senior Citizens with Lindale Assembly of God until his body could not.
All that knew Roland knew that they were witnessing what the life of a Christ loving, servant of the Lord should look like. We are all better sharing this earthly journey with him, whether for a day or for a lifetime.
We will miss you terribly as we rejoice in your reunion with your daughter, your wife and our Lord.
2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
