So sorry to hear of Rodneys passing, he was a good friend. I only new him a few years from Jay at deer camp here in IND and TX.HE always had a compass on his hat, a smile on his face and a good story about something.We will miss you.

Were very sorry for your loss. Hot Rod was a great guy made me laugh everytime we were together. One time he tried to get me to catch a hard shell opossum with my bare hands. Didnt go over well. He thought one time he could outrun me. He probably was right. If it wasnt for that tree root sticking up in Rays yard I doubt i would of won. I have alot of good memories with him and the Bowersox family. They're all great people. We'll all miss you Hot Rod.. Thanks for everything man

Rodney was such a great man - we have so many fond memories of all of us at the boys baseball games, and of the times he coached the "Texas Thunder".  He will forever be missed. Our Beloved Texas Family...There are no words to express my heartfelt sadness and sorrow over the loss of your (our) beloved "Hot Rod". Your precious son--brother--partner and dad battled this horrific disease with fierce courage and tremendous bravery against all the odds. Rodney inspired us all by his heartfelt determination to live his life to the fullest despite the pain and suffering he silently endured day after day. He truly carried the cross of our Lord for nearly three years here on earth...but now the yoke has been broken and his soul has been set FREE!!! I can't begin to imagine the overwhelming joy, peace and wholeness he is enjoying this hour---but I know I can't wait to join him one day.  Rest in glorious and Heavenly peace, Hot Rod! Rodney was such a wonderful man to all of us.  Words cannot express our sorrow.  Rodney was an influential figure for Chase in baseball going all the way back to 2002 when he coached him for the first time!  We have a lot of great memories of Rodney.  You were so blessed to have such a wonderful husband as Hayden was so very blessed to have such a wonderful father.  I know Hayden will carry Rodney's love with him always.
