On September 14, 1955, Rochell White Jr. was joyfully born to Rochell & Dorothy White as the first son and second child of four in Houston Texas.
Early in his life, he accepted Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Willie Powell and was baptized at Lilly Grove MBC. Then he attended New Grace MBC under his late father-in-law, Pastor Edward Ladet Sr. After many years, Rochell restored his membership with Lilly Grove under the leadership of Pastor Terry K. Anderson where he was a faithful member of Sunday school and brotherhood until his health began to decline.
Rochell earned his educational learning from Houston Public Schools, attending Burrus Elementary and Jack Yates High School. Having an ambitious soul his work ethic enhanced his opportunities for success. Rochell was a man with many talents and abilities using his hands. Being well versed he has received many certifications and accolades including HVAC from Doolin Technical College, Computer Programming from Omron Electrics and Safety, and Ammonia Refrigeration from Cal-Tex Citrus Juice. In October 2019 he retired from Dril-Quip Incorporated as a mechanical electrician.
On May 18, 1974, Rochell and the love of his life, Loretta Ladet, united in holy matrimony. Two outstanding children were born from this union.
Rochell was a caring God-Fearing man with goals to protect and provide for his family. He was committed to others and lent a hand whenever needed.
On Friday, April 12th, 2024 Rochell peacefully transitioned from this life to receive his Heavenly reward. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Rochell White IV. The loving memories of Rochell White Jr. will always be cherished by Loretta White, his devoted wife of 49 years, Loving children: Shawana White and Rochell (Laquetta) White III; Precious grandchildren: Dravion (K’Nara) Coleman, Moriah Coleman, Ta’Lyah White, Jazmyn White, Jayden White and Rayshard White; a darling great-granddaughter: Klovr Gresham; one loving Goddaughter Rashanna Herd; three loving siblings: Shelia Shamlin, Reginal White, and Phylisa (Ralph) Perkins, Sr., and countless nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Rochell will be held on April 26, 2024 from 10am to 10:45am at Lilly Grove MBC located at 7034 Tierwester St. Houston, Texas 77021. The funeral service will be immediately following from 11:am to 12:p. Followed by a committal service at Paradise Cemetery North from 1:30pm to 1:45pm.
