Roberto Jasso Leal

Roberto married the love of his life Maria Elena Leal on December 2, 1985 and together they raised a beautiful family .He was a retired veteran of the United States Army and he faithfully served his county from 1972-1992 when he was honorably discharged. He attended the Central College of Texas and the Houston Community College which led him to his career in Education. Roberto was a teacher for 16 years with HISD at Waltrip High School. He had a passion for shaping and molding children and young adults.

He is survived by his wife Maria, children; Michelle Leal Franco, Robert B. Leal, Jr. (Somar), Jessica Torres, Franchesca Plascencia (Javier), John Torres and Renee Leal Vargas (Louis), grandchildren; Michael (Christine), Isaiah, Marissa, Kayla, Eric, Marcos, Marie Alanise, Angelina, Joshua, Jose, Victoria, Jesse, Moses, Frank, Christopher, Jennifer and Jasmine and 21 great grandchildren, Siblings; Richard J. Leal (Dora), Ruben J. Leal (Christina), Roy J. Leal (Dora) and Rudy J. Leal (Rick). He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio & Maria Leal and his sister Angie Leal.

A Visitation will be held in Roberto’s honor on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. inside the chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life will commence at 12:30 p.m., after which he will be escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, where he will be laid to rest and a grateful Nation will bestow him with honors.
