She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1950 and continued on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from the University of Houston.
She married Prentis Harold Collins on November 24,1952 in Houston, Texas.
She taught for New Caney Independent School District for 20 years and went on to serve as principal at Maranatha Christian Academy.
From a very early age her dream was to be a Preacher’s wife. Her dream came true when she met Rev. P.H. Collins on the evangelistic field. They were both musicians and sang a duet together the first day they met. They immediately fell in love and together they continued to serve the Lord all the days of their lives. They served throughout the Assemblies of God South Texas District for over 50 years. In 1969 they moved to Porter, Texas and they pastored Porter First Assembly of God. Later, they built and established Maranatha Temple Assembly of God in Porter and served as pastors for 35 years.
After retiring as pastors they were avid travelers and went on many adventures all over the U.S.
Her life was devoted to Christ, to her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Prentis Collins. Brother, Doyle Banks. Granddaughter, Jessica Collins and Fiancé Andrew SauSage.

Nephew, Kenneth Banks.
Great Grandchildren: Aiden Graham, Eden Graham, Colton Graham, Shawnee Hofstad-Collins, Levi SauSage, and Austin Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Paulett Collins Graham and her Beloved Husband, Rev. P.H. Collins.
The family wishes to thank St. Luke’s Hospital of the Woodlands, Dr. Jones, Dr. Kobeissi and the entire around-the-clock staff of the ICU. They all treated our precious Meme with such great skill, dedication, compassion and dignity.
