Robert Louis Wilson, born May 1, 1938 in Mission, Texas and passed away June 30, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Isaiah Wilson and Ruth Mary (Urban) Wilson. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Arlise Ireland Wilson, sons Robert Louis Wilson, Jr. and wife Wei of Pearland, Texas and Michael Colin Wilson and wife Amanda of Austin, Texas and granddaughters Cara and Evelynn Wilson. He proudly served in the U. S. Army. Bob graduated from St. Mary's University and the University of Houston with B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics and engineering. He worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst with M.D. Anderson Hospital supporting leukemia research, Coca Cola Foods and the oil and gas industry retiring from BP Refinery. He was active in the Methodist Church , Missouri City urban development, computers, golfing, stand up comedy and short story writing. Bob was, also, a BSA Scout Master, Little League baseball manager, lifelong blood donor and Lotto 5 program designer. He will be remembered for his faith, strength of character and outgoing personality. Bob was loyal to friends and family and was dedicated to Parkinson's Disease research and care. Also cherishing his memory are his sister, Bettie Leah Wilson DeRoulhac of North Little Rock, Arkansas and brothers, William Joe Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida and Jack Edwin Wilson of Shepherd, Texas.
Funeral service 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 with visitation preceding the funeral service at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
