Robert Lamar West 78 of Houston, Texas passed away on February 24, 2016. Born in Natchez, Mississippi. Robert was employed by Fluor Corporation for many years. He was owner and operator of West Transportation until his retirement. He loved to spend time cooking and traveling. Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Margaret. He is survived by his children Katherine Dunn, Robert West Jr, Cynthia Roller and husband Mark Roller, and David West,12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grand child. He also is survived by three aunts with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. A visitation will take place on Saturday February 27th from 12pm - 1pm with funeral services commencing at 1pm. Interment will immediately follow All services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale funeral home.
