Rev. Robert Juarez Reyna beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and Pastor went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2012. He was born in Houston Texas on April 1, 1938. He was the fifth child of Frank Medrano Reyna and Matilda (Rosalie) Juarez Reyna. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Minerva M. Reyna, his children: Robert Reyna Jr., Richard Reyna, Roxanne DeLeon, Michael Reyna, Rogers Lionel Reyna, Rachel D. Leal, Gabriel Espinosa, Andrew Martinez, Cynthia A. Velasquez, Jerome Espinosa, Michelle Valle, Jacqueline Garibay; 21 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He proudly served in the United States Army from August 20, 1957 to May 21, 1961. He received his Masters in Theology. Other proud accomplishments were: retired Carpenter of Carpenters Local Union 213 from 1960-1987, First Vice President Labor Council of Latin American Advancement for State Chapter from 1970 to 1980, Founder and Chapter President of Harris County Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, Served on the Advisory Board on Texas Youth Council for governor Dolph Briscoe, served two terms on the Harris County Grand Jury, Founder and pastor of the Monte De Zion from 1972 to 1976, Pastor of Iglesia El Paraiso from 1980 to Present, Business Representative Carpenter Local Union 213 from 1971 to 1985, Mason Association, Labor Organizer from 1977 to 1980. He loved to meet and talk to anyone that crossed his path. He loved to talk to people about the Lord. His favorite saying was “I am 39 yrs old and HOLDING”. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, Monday, July 9th with an evening service to begin at 7pm in Brookside Grand Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, July 10th at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
