Robert Powell

Robert G. Powell blessed this world on January 7, 1932. At the age of 87 years old, he went to see our Lord heavenly Father on November 22, 2019 at 2:07 a.m. He peacefully passed with family and friends by his side. He lived a very wonderful loving life. He blessed so many lives and hearts with his spirit and laughter, we could go on and on. On June 17, 2001 he married his beautiful lady Shirley Powell.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother; Fred Powell and his Great Nephew; Steve Powell.

With 18 years of marriage he was blessed with daughters; Sabrina Lf Powell and Lynette. Lynette has one daughter Kirste. Kriste has two sons, Jaydon Michael and Tatum. He is survived by his niece Joanna and her husband Henry. Joannas mother, Nancy Powell, Roberts great niece, resides with Joanna. Robert has one living sister Jodi Powell. Also left to cherish Roberts memory is his Brother and Sister in law, Curtis and Betty; Brother and Sister in law, Billy and Sharlene ; Brother in law, Tommy Wayne. God gave Robert his church family, Rhonda Johnson, Aimee Corman, Christian Ympa, Momma Dianna, Momma Martha, Jared Pruitt, and Momma Kathy.

Robert was such a responsible man with friends and family. I leave this message not for any goodbyes but see you later, until we meet again. He was such a wonderful loving husband, daddy, friend to everyone that came into his life. We will forever love and miss you so very much. You were loved by so many. Rest in Peace Robert G. Powell, Gone but never forgotten in our hearts nor our soul. I love you. Rest in peace Daddy. My loving Honey!!

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
