Robert Dale Powell, born November 23, 1934 to Robert and Mary Turner Powell in Coryell County, TX and passed away May 2, 2012 in Houston TX. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Patsy Powell; son, Robert W. Powell and wife Aimee Powell; grandchildren, Nicholas Powell and Kaitlyn Powell; brothers-in-law, John Barber and wife Marla and William Barber; sister-in-law, Debra Henderson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Porter TX and lifetime member and Past President of Houston Chapter, American Bowling Congress. He was a Teamster with H&NT, Leeway and Consolidated Freightways for 35 years. He was also a Past President for the Teamster Local 988 Retiree Club.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, May 4, 2012 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Brookside Grand Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
