Robert William Pitts Jr.

Robert William Pitts, Jr., age 94, of Houston, Texas passed away on October 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Graciela Salas Pitts; his parents, Robert and Mary Pitts, and sister Nora Pass. He is survived by his sons: Robert Louis and wife Terri, Andrew Blake and wife Laura, and Roderick William and wife Stacie; grandsons: Travis Pitts and wife Gabrielle, Taylor Pitts and wife Allyson, Joseph Pitts and wife Katherine, Jeffrey Pitts and wife Emily, Jeremy Pitts, Blake Pitts; great-grandsons, Everett Pitts and Benjamin Pitts; and sister, Frances Ragsdale.

Bob graduated from Hawkins High School, then earned his degree in education from North Texas State University. He joined the Navy to fight in the Korean War where he was head electrician on a warship. He was discharged from the navy, and began working for Texaco. While searching for uranium in South Texas, he met the love of his life, Graciela Salas. With the help of Graciela working as an accountant, as well as the GI Bill, he earned his electrical engineering degree at the University of Texas at Austin. He spent over 40 years in the oil and gas industry. Bob was a loving father, who along with Graciela, enjoyed raising their three sons in Houston.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Friday, November 3, 2023 at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18511 Klein Church Rd, Spring, TX 77379. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30am. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, November 3, 2023 at Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 18511 Klein Church Road, Spring, Texas 77379.
