Robert Lee Philpot

Robert Philpot passed away on July 27, 2017 at the age of 71. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. Robert was a retired member of the IUEC Local 31. Mr. Philpot was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and served on the Calf Scramble committee for many years. He was a Nascar fanatic and loved racing.

Robert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Velvet Philpot; his son, Rodney Philpot, his grandson, Dustin Philpot; granddaughters, Adriana Cramer, Heather Englert and Ashley Dugat; his sister Betty Jean Patterson, brother Jimbo Alewine and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Philpot; his mother Mary Susie Alewine and father, Robert R. Philpot.

Services for Robert Philpot will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation is on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be a reception immediately following the burial at the Humble Civic Center located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, Texas 77338. A BBQ lunch will be served.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Kirstyn’s Krew in honor of Robert is requested. Donations can be made on-line at www.kirstynskrew.org or mailed to P. O. Box 192, Tomball, Texas 77377.

The family requests that if you have a “hot rod”, please join us in the procession for Robert’s last ride.
