Robert Dale Larison

Robert was born May 17, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Raised in Houston, he graduated from Waltrip High School in 1970. As one of six children, Robert was a natural socializer and enjoyed engaging in lively conversation across a variety of subjects. He was a life-long music enthusiast with a prized collection of vinyl records. In addition to enjoying live music, Robert had an affinity for gardening, nature, birding, and animals. He was known for his sense of humor and silly poses for the camera over the years. Depending on the season, Robert could be found cheering on the hometown Oilers, Texans, Rockets, or Astros.

Robert is survived by his son John Henry Larison of Columbus, Ohio; sister Linda Berkman of Houston; sister Debra McGarry and her husband William of Georgetown; several cousins and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Kathleen Larison; sister Judith Caskey; sister Susan Wine; twin brother Paul Larison; and niece Marguerite DuPont.

A memorial service will take place at Pat H. Foley & Company funeral home in Houston on Saturday, August 26 at 2:00 pm. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Robert’s name.
