Robert Lee Hubbard, 78, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018. He was born in Oak Ridge, Louisiana on March 13, 1939. Robert Lee Hubbard graduated from Booker T. Washington and received his high school diploma, and later drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served 6 years.
Robert was married to Rosie Marie Wright for 20 years prior to her passing away. He was later married to Mae Emma Dever for 37 years. He worked in construction for Salema Lot for 10 years, he also worked as a truck driver for Brown & Root for 20 years, He owned and operated Lockwood Donut Shop until retirement. Robert was a member of New Oasis of Faith and had a passion for puzzles, fishing, and scratching off lottery tickets.
Robert is survived by his children: Rita (Bruce), Quinton (Belinda), Jessica, Antoinette (Artell III), Mark (Lauralie), Xavier (Tamaraa), Titus (Jona), April (Horace), Mary (Paul), Lee (Wanda). 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren: Allen (Barbara), Roger, Elzina (Earl), Ernest (Cynthia), Venita
A Visitation will be held with the family Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas 77038. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., A Committal Service will be held after the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas 77038.
