Robert also known as “Bob” received his GED and graduated from the Diesel Mechanic program at UTI Houston. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973. He was in Vietnam on board the USS Higbee. He met Angela in Houston, Texas and married on July 18, 1994. Bob owned his truck and was a truck driver at various companies for 50 years. He was a member of VFW and American Legion and had a passion for old cars, motorcycles and trucks.
The day Bob and Angela got married Bob took Marsha as his own. They had a wonderful relationship and loved each other very much. He was always right there for Angela and Marsha in both good and bad times. His faith, independence and love made him a very special and unique man. We will miss him so much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harris Sr. and Vivian Mason Harris; brother, John Harris II; half-sister, Roberta Newnham.
Robert is survived by his wife, Angela Harris; step-daughter, Marsha Ickert; half-sister, Betty Ott; and numerous family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Steve Todd, Robert Daniel, Carl Gillman, Harold Ladd, Milton Perry and Jim Goodson.
