Mark. This guy Louis has been wondering about your Dad. I found out yesterday that he passed away 6 months ago. We used to drive by your house on Oasis because we used to see him outside. With a golf club. We are so sorry he is gone. We couldn’t find anything until I goggled Obits. Louis was very sad about this. He’s with your sweet mom. My friend Sandy now. Bob has been a dear friend of mine since high school.  I remember Bob and Sandra as being  one of our "it" couples!  After losing Sandy, life was much harder for Bob.  We began having Friday evening zoom calls along with another friend from West Virginia during Covid. We  looked forward the weekly calls, talking about family, life, and politics but believe me..... we tried not to include a lot of politics because there could be some heated discussions! 
Bob was so proud of his family! I saw lots of  pictures of  family celebrations and all the new arrivals! The Davises are all beautiful people" inside and out" I love knowing what a great Family love, you all have for each other.  I miss Bob terribly, but I have beautiful memories of our long conversations and philosophies on life. Our lives have been  much fuller, having  Bob as part of it. Bob was famous for his smile and conversations.  Over the years, I enjoyed both, many times. He always had something interesting to say and his humor and wit were as memorable as his smile and warmth. Bob was a kind and decent man in every respect. I will value my memories of him, and of Sandy. They were a big part of our family get-togethers for decades. The thought of them being together again brings me joy.  Thank you sir for all the moments and memories I was honored to be a part of with you. 

Sorry for the loss of a great teacher and coworker at Brown & Root. He touched many lives in our industry.

Uncle Bob, you live on in our hearts because of the love you poured into us. I’ll always smile as I think of and remember you. Your sense of humor, especially in concert with your brothers, was gut splitting and I treasure those laughs and the memories of the joy in your presence. Rest in love, peace, and comfort in your new heavenly home. And let’s play a game of horse when we meet again!

Uncle Bob was a legend on the basketball court. He could shoot with either hand and was very well known for his bony elbows! I don’t recall ever hearing an unkind or harsh word come out of his mouth. He and Sandy were always very kind to me.  RIP, Bob. Until we meet again. 

Gonna miss you Uncle Bob.  You always were chill and had great advise.  Played a mean game of hoops and tore up the golf course.

You surely went out with your boots on.

Bob and I worked on several activities together at Brown and Root and later KBR.  We were from different disciplines he was piping engineering and I was civil structural.   We had several head-butting sessions over how to accomplish company and project goals, but we always found ways to work together and have a good laugh doing it.  We have called those the "Good Ole days for a while".

My condolences to Bob's family, I know he will be missed. 

Rest in Peace Bob and be seeing you again in the not-too-distant future.  
 

I first met Bob decades ago when I was on loan to Brown and Root’s Pulp and Paper Division where Bob was the senior Piping Manager. I was quite intimidated by him as he was far more knowledgeable about our business then I ever was and he ran a very disciplined department. Years later I had the good fortune to get to know Bob well both on a personal and professional level.  I remember being surprised to learn he was one of the most kind hearted people I had ever met. I utilized Bob on many occasions as our Senior Piping Auditor for our efforts on our Projects. Bob was an excellent Auditor and exposed many problem areas which we worked hard to correct. On a personal level I would seek Bob’s council on problems I was dealing with managing the Piping Department. Bob always provided me with sound advice which was greatly appreciated. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing this morning and will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. David Towell

My career path crossed with Bob in the late 80's. Union Camp, PIP and 35 Paper Machine days and continued after Bob's retirement when he would come back into the office to audit projects. Bob ran a tight ship; he was always fair and stood up to doing things right. He leaves with a wealth of piping knowledge and thought me a ton over the years.
Condolences to Bob's family. 

I would like to send my condolences to Bob's family. He was one of those people that once you meet him you could never forget him. He was tough as nails at times, but he had a soft center too. 
When I was a first time department manager, he was my Piping Design lead, who helped me with all the personnel issues. He "tested" me a few times on things, but when I stood up to him - I think that was what he was looking for and we had a great relationship after that. 
He probably knew more about piping design than anyone in the company and it was always fun to talk to him when he would come back after retirement and do an audit. He knew a lot about piping and he knew a lot about people.  I can hear and picture his laugh - that deep gravelly cheerful sound. 
I'm glad I got to know Bob and I will miss him.
