Bobby was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on December 14, 1934, to parents Gunnar and Alice Carlson. He served in the Army for three years before being honorably discharged, and went on to work for Xerox for 36 years before his retirement.
Bobby was passionate about restoring antique clocks, and was a member of the American Clock Association. He enjoyed going on vacation with his family, as well as going to Astros games and concerts. His favorite band was Journey.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gunnar Carlson, and his mother, Alice Carlson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Florine Carlson; and his children, Beverly Atchison and her husband Mark, and Scott Carlson and his wife Pamela.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, in the Grand Chapel. A funeral service will occur at 11:00 AM in the same chapel, with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 PM in Brookside Memorial Park. A reception will be held after the graveside, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Brookside Funeral Home.
