Robert Bud Baxter, 79, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2013. Bud is survived by three daughters, Mary Tipton and husband Terry, Pam Uresti and husband Lee, Sami Valentine and husband Ed; Daughter-in-law Becky Baxter; Eleven grandchildren, Chad, Ana, Tyler, Lauren, Misty, Kimberly, Dawn, Ashley, Clayton, Wyatt and Ella; one brother, Larry Baxter; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Louise Baxter; sons, Bruce and Robert Jr. He was born on August 1, 1933 in Houston, Texas. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. Following his service in the Marine Corps, he joined the Houston Police Department where he served for 22 years and retired as a sergeant. After retirement, Bud continued his service as a deputy constable for Harris County Precinct One, retiring after 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid football fan. His passing leaves a void that will never be filled. He will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm at Forest Park Lawndale. Funeral Services will be on Thursday at 2pm at Forest Park Lawndale followed by interment.
