Cindy,
Ritchie was one of the best friends I never knew I had.  Yes, I realize that we were next door neighbors for over 10 years and it seems like we talked and saw each other everyday of our lives during that time.  But I don't think you ever realize how much someone impacts your life until their gone.  I truly miss him.  I can still hear him getting out of his nissan truck and shouting, "Whatcha say there Mr. Jonathan....."....as I would reply..."Whatcha say there Mr. Ritchie....".....   I truly miss him and it seems like I miss him more everyday.  I may have never told him how much he meant to me (guys just don't seem to do that kinda stuff...) but I trust he knows now through our prayers and tears.......  He will always be our "security patrol" around here.....he just has a better seat to view it from now.......we miss you Ritchie..........Thank you for being my fried through it all.......

Cindy,  Ritchie was a wonderful man and so enjoyable to talk to when he would come to visit Casper.  Our prayers are with you.

It was too hard to express thoughts today. Like everyone else, I will miss Ritchie tremendously.  I have been the Waller neighbor for around 8 yrs now and could have never asked for a better person to meet and be a friend with.  Ritchie never asked for help from me until he knew he couldn't care for his animals while he was undergoing treatment, except when one of the cows got it's head stuck in a plow in the pasture one day!  I always volunteered my time hauling cows and helping out when I could, even if Ritchie never mentioned he was coming out to work around the place.  Point being, Ritchie touched my family as he did everyone else's and was a friend you WANTED to be around every chance you got.  The only disagreement we ever had was when Ritchie would insist on paying me and we would argue that it wasnt about the money.  Ritchie helped me rebuild a fence between us once.  Every time we would auger a post hole he would 
shout " Let er rip potatoe chip". That phrase has been etched in my head ever since and will never be forgotten.  I will miss you old friend, you can never be replaced or forgotten. I can go on and on about how great Ritchie is, but we all already know it....."LET ER RIP POTATOE CHIP"

I am the Chairman of the Rodeo Merchandise Committee.  I first want to let you know that Susan (my wife) and my thoughts and prayers are with both of you.  I also want to let you know what a great Committeemen Robert was on our committee. At one of our meeting this year I had a chance to meet and visit with Robert and enjoyed it very much.  Trish Mounsey his Assistant Captain express to me what a hard working and enthusiastic committeemen he was on our committee.  Tommy Kohlmaier his Captain express the same to me.  I just wanted to let both of you know that Robert will be missed very much by the Rodeo Merchandise Committee.

Cindy and Cheryl,   I knew Ritchie for over 30 years and I say this  you could not ask for a finer Man.   I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you find comfort in knowing he is in a great place.

Dear Cindy, I have never met you or Cheryl but I wanted you both to know that I knew Ritchie quite well growing up, living just 3 doors down from his partents home on Ojeman.  My brother Doug and I spent many many days playing with Ronnie and Ritchie.  It's hard to believe he is gone now.  I haven't lived in Houston since 1980.  I did see Ritchie in 1990 at his shop.  Over the years Doug would constantly bring Ritchie into the conversation.  Doug and I both thought a lot of Ritchie and all his family.  I especially remember the ease at which Ritchie lived his life.  He laughed alot too.  School age kids in the neighborhood sometimes come and go.  Ritchie was a friend that didn't.  Of all the countless hours that we spent together growing up,I can't think of a single time that we didn't get along.  Doug thought highly of Ritchie and kept me informed on many things going on with him over the years.  I have thought of Ritchie from time to time.  The Ritchie I know will be remembered and missed.  Ritchie denied his very self, picked up his cross and followed Jesus to victory.  I too am carrying my cross and am following HIM too.  Peace be with you.  Tommy Bench (Boerne, TX)

Having been in the oil business since 1979 I remember Ritchie, having met him through his brother, Ron Mitchell and Mark Century.  My sinceriest condolences to the entire family and friends. May the Lord keep your family close with comfort during this time of need.

My condolences to the Mitchell family. Ritchie was a great man. I will always remember the good times working for Ritchie at MCM and going up to the farm in Madisonville.

Cheryl, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Your Dad was a great man. He loved you so much. He always had a smile on his face and a heart full of gold. I have good memories of him as you and I grew up together in middle and high school. He is in a great place now, resting and watching over you and your family. I'm very sorry for your loss. No words can express the void he will leave in all of us.  Ritchie was a wonderful and kind man with a huge heart, and he loved his family with all his heart and soul.  He is now in God's loving arms.  Farewell Ritchie.....until me meet again........

My prayers are with you Cindy and Cheryl. I met Ritchie when I worked at M&R Machine,and Ritchie was just around the corner on Soway. I have been retired for 10 years, but Ritchie kept in touch a couple of times a year, and he called me last November from MD Anderson while taking a treatment.
