Rita Recio

Rita Recio. Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt was born February 4,1954; is now home with our beloved lord and savior after a courageous and exhausting battle with cancer. She was called upon and departed on April 2, 2025.

Rita is survived by her two children Nicole (Robert), Vincent (Tiffany), six grandchildren: Alexandria, Robert, Matthew (Olivia), Jacob, Saydee and Evan; and three great grandchildren: Layla, Luca and Amias Garza.

Rita had four sisters: Maria, Rosa,Rebecca (Alfred), Juanita (Lindo), and two brothers: Juan and Ramon Recio and an extended family of nieces and nephews.

Rita is preceded in death by her father: Nicolas S. Recio, Mother: Genoveva M. Recio, and two brothers: Nicolas Jr. and Reynaldo Recio.

Rita was an excellent and dedicated student. Her dedication and devotion to her studies did not go unnoticed. As a result Rita was academically advanced from sixth to eight grade. Rita participated in several Clubs while attending school and was an Honored Society Member.

Rita enjoyed spending time in Pensacola with her daughter and family. She enjoyed sunbathing by the pool, visiting Pensacola Beach, Destin Fl. and many poolside BBQ's.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son, family, friends and all who were lucky to know her. Rita surrounded herself around a loving and close circle of friends that included Marty, Alice, Mary W. Mary T. Virginia and Susie (Bobby) Soliz.

A visitation for Rita will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
