Rita Meza Leal

Rita was born to Francisco and Pillar, June 5th, 1931, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1949. She married Tom Leal in 1950, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised six children.

She is survived by Sons Tom M. Leal Jr.(Alice B. Leal), Raymond Leal ( Grace Leal), Ernest Leal (Irene Leal ),Daughters Teresa Rocha (Able Rocha), Jesusa Osorio (George Osorio), Elizabeth L. Saldivar (Henry Saldivar). She also leaves to cherish her memory Grandchildren, Sabrina Rocha (Mary Rocha), Able Anthony Rocha, Andrea Rocha and Bryan Zelaya, Angela Leal, Stephannie Rae Leal, George Osorio Jr., Hope Osorio, Raymond Leal Jr. (Susana Leal), Kimberly Rochelle Osorio-Aleman (Henry Aleman), Natalie Aguilar (Uvaldo Aguilar), Erin Rene Bolden (Darius Bolden), Ernest Leal Jr. (Claudia Leal), Eric Vincent Leal (Ann Leal), Elyssa Lauren Leal, Lisa Marie Lopez (Joe Lopez), Arturo Leal Jr. Deanna Leal, Pilar Esperanza Leal, Amber Saldivar, Ashley Saldivar, Great Grandchildren Hailey Leal, Michael T. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom M. Leal Sr., and her parents Francisco Meza Sr., Pillar Meza.

Rita enjoyed Traveling and being with her family. She was also actively involved in The Young at Heart club at St. Patrick Church.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday April 11th, 2023, 8:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic church. Rev. Tom Hawxhurst will officiate the ceremony.
