Rita Catherine Gallo

Rita Catherine Dick Gallo, 86, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2015 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania on September 9, 1929. Rita is survived by her loving husband Stephen Gallo of 66 years of marriage; three children, Monica Treuil, Rosanne Haskett and son-in-law Michael Haskett, all of Houston, Texas, William Gallo of Hellertown, Pa.; four brothers, Kenneth & Olga Dick of Pueblo, Colorado, Cletus & Gloria Dick of Hellertown, Pa., William Dick and Joseph Dick, both of Bethlehem, Pa.; three sisters, Sister Mary Cuthberta of Immaculata, Pa., Germaine Brown of Bethlehem, Pa. and Annette Potkovac of Easton, Pa.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and William Dick, sister, Georgine Hummel, brother, Bernard Dick, and granddaughter, Christine Gallo. She worked at the Bethlehem Steel in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where she met Stephen and they were married on April 23, 1949. She was a housewife and loving mother to raising her three children. Upon her husband retirement, they moved to Beaumont, Texas. They spent three years living in San Diego, Ca. with their daughter Rosanne. In 1989, they moved to Houston, Texas. Rita was a member of Saint Edith Stein Catholic Church since 2004. She was a Eucharistic minister at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
