Richard Wayne Tinnell

Richard Wayne Tinnell, age 80, of Conroe, Texas passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Wayne was born in Nashville, TN, on January 26, 1942 to J.W. and Bertie Mae Tinnell. He then came to Houston, Texas where he graduated from Smiley High School. He met and married his high school sweetheart Meredith Virginia (Cookie) Tinnell on March 31, 1962. He worked for Cameron Iron Works as a machinist for 44 years. Richard had a passion for fishing, camping and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Bertie Mae Tinnell; brothers Donnie Tinnell and Gerald Tinnell.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife Meredith Virginia (Cookie) Tinnell; daughters Shelly Cegielski and Laurie Bevil; son Aaron Tinnell; grandchildren Avery Cegielski, Krista Benoit, Montana Bevil, Austin Bevil, Justin Garner, Cody Garner, and Dillon Garner; great grandchildren Aubrey Bevil, Hadley Bevil, and Kollyns Benoit; brother Randall Tinnell.

A visitation for Richard will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
