Richard Stanley Ledermann

With a sad heart, the family of Richard S Ledermann wants to let the community know of his passing early on the morning of September 10, 2015. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Doris Irene in 2000 and his son, Daniel Arthur in 1993. Richard was a beloved father, husband, friend, and businessman. Richard leaves his wife of 13 years, Ruth Eileen, daughters, Rusti Ledermann, Nancy Rhea (husband, Michael), Carol Gerke (husband, Dave), stepsons Bruce Fickman (wife, Ginnie), Robb Fickman, Alan Fickman and Andy Fickman as well as grandsons, great grandchildren, nephews, and a niece. They are joined in mourning by his many friends and business associates as he travels on to another peace far beyond our understanding.

Richard was born in Chicago and moved to Houston in 1949. He went to work for Olshan Lumber Company in 1950 learning the lumber business from family, work associates, suppliers and customers. He is succeeded in the business by his daughter, Rusti Ledermann.

A private burial service was held on September 11, 2015.

A public Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral & Cemetery at 13001 Katy Frwy Houston, Texas at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.
