Richard William Leal Sr.

Rick was an outstanding cook and made amazing BBQ and crawfish passing the love of cooking down to his children and grandchildren. He loved making his famous pies, dressing and giblet gravy for Thanksgiving. He built and flew model airplanes. Rick enjoyed camping and fishing with family. He read extensively about everything he was interested in, which made him a "Jack of all trades, Master of none" (just kidding dad). He enjoyed smoking cigars, riding motorcycles, and building anything with his own hands. Rick played darts and pool winning many trophies over the years. He loved his mother's home town of Palacios and talked very frequently of it especially during his last days. Rick is greatly loved and will be deeply missed, but he will live on through his family and friends and the stories they all hold dearly. Gone but never forgotten. Love you dad!

Richard is proceeded in death by his parents: Fidel Leal Sr. & Rosa Leal. Brother: Charles Leal.

He is survived by his Son: Richard W. Leal Jr. & Wife Nicole Leal, Daughter: Elena M. Benavente and husband Alfredo Benavente, Brother: Fidel Leal Jr & Wife Monica Leal., Grandchildren: Stephanie N. Leal and Fiance Matthew Velez, Richard W. Leal III, Francisco A. Sauceda and wife Deissi Sauceda, Jimena R. Benavente and Alfredo Benavente. Great Granddaughter: Aleena M. Sauceda.
