Richard Ray Jolly was born on May 16, 1937 and he passed away on July 10, 2012. He was a beloved husband, father, family and friend. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard Henry Jolly. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Jolly, who cared for him lovingly and faithfully until his passing; his two daughters, Marjorie Kay Holoway and husband, Jack and Cheryl Velasquez and husband, Roland; four grandchildren, Joshua Mueller, Richard Aleman, Eric and Vivian Velasquez; his precious great-grandchildren, Amber and Samuel Aleman and Julie Mueller;a brother, Donald R. Jolly and his wife, Donna and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for Richard will be his three grandsons and 3 nephews, Mark and Glenn Ellis and Don McQueen. Richard served his country in the US Navy from 1956-1960, worked for Houston Lighting and Power Company for 32 years and was a member of Oak Lake Baptist Church for more than 40 years. The family wishes to thank Memorial Hermann Hospice, especially Jessica Dupris and Nicole Johnson for their excellent care of Mr. Jolly. The Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012, 6-8 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Family and friends will celebrate the life of Richard Jolly on Friday, July 13, 2012, 10 am in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer.
