Born February 5, 1947, Richard Charles Cade III, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home in Spring, Texas at the age of 70, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Richard graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1965, and entered the United States Navy in January 1966. He was a Vietnam Veteran attached to a fighter air wing aboard the aircraft carriers USS Hancock CVA-19 and USS Ranger CVA-61. After an honorable discharge in December 1969, Richard worked in sales for Maxwell House Coffee for three years and Reed Tool Company for one year, after which he became an electrician with Hargrave Electric Company for over three decades as Construction Manager. Richard was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, associate member of the International Electrical Inspectors Association, and a member of the National Harley Owners Group, Houston Area #1 and Cut N Shoot Chapters. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard C. Cade Jr. and Mildred E. Cade. He is survived by sister, Cary E. Liles of Spring Branch, Texas; brother, Ronald W. Cade of Houston, Texas; son Troy R. Cade and his wife, Carrie; son Jonathon R. Cade and his wife, Colleen; daughter Amy E. Manchester and her husband, Tory; five grandchildren Brodie, Peyton and Lacey Cade, Clara and James Manchester. Services to celebrate Richard’s life with be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2017 at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard.
