A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:00-6:00 pm in the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home Event Room, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston.
Richard was born in Longview, TX on February 1, 1951 to parents Richard Courtland and Patricia Anne (Smith) Baker.
On February 1, 1997, Richard married Susan Howell, she survives. Also surviving are his father Richard, brother Robert Baker, sister-in-law Kelly, sister Carol Hawkins and brother-in-law Mark.
Richard graduated from Sharpstown High School and worked for Walmart for over twenty-one years.
He collected model and hot wheel cars and enjoyed attending car shows. Richard loved baseball and football, his favorite teams were the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. Richard also enjoyed going to festivals, eating out and watching movies. Most of all Richard loved spending time with his wife and family.
Richard was hard working and kind, he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
