Richard Arredondo Sr. known as Richie to most was born to Patsy Acosta and Jesus Domingo Arredondo on Tuesday, January 26, 1965, in Houston, Texas. He grew up in the Denver Harbor neighborhood, and later moved to the Heights-Montie Beach and attended Hogg Jr. High, and Reagan Sr. High. At the young age of 15 years old he met the love of his life Irma Vera who he later married on May 12, 1981 at the age of 16 years and Irma 15 years old. On, May 26, 1982 his first born came into the world Richard Arredondo Jr. six years later his baby girl Lisa Marie Arredondo was born on July 30, 1988. He was a carpenter by trade, self-employed in plumbing. Those talents just came natural to him. Richie was known for his dedication to his family, his sense of humor, the smiles on his face. He was a very loving and caring person. He loved to eat, fish, camp, bbq and especially build things with his grandchildren. He loved to tell them stories and have plenty of laughs. Richie would always try to give them good advice, and to make good choices. He was an amazing all around person. He was baptized at age of 33 years at Greenwood Village Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Eufemia Renteria and Angela Arredondo, grandfathers, Perfecto Cantu, Felix Herrera and Onofre Arredondo his father Jesus Domingo Arredondo, brother, Rodney Arredondo, and brother-in-law, Ramiro Torres.
Richie leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife Irma, son and daughter-in-law Richard Arredondo, Jr. and wife Nicole, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie Dinson and Caleb, five grandchildren; Richard Arredondo III, Jeremiah Alexander Arredondo, Christopher Isaac Arredondo, Carter Kekoa Dinson, and his first granddaughter, Chloe Keilani Dinson, an angel that came into this world the same day their grandpa left. What a Blessing. He also leaves behind, his parents, Patsy Acosta and Refugio T. Acosta, brothers and sister-in-laws; Jesse and Georgia Arredondo, Ricky and Frances Arredondo, sisters and brothers-in-law; Rosemary Mendoza, Darlene Acosta, Arlene and Benny Torres. He will also be missed by his numerous loving nieces, nephews and relatives who he always adored.
