Richard Jean Adams

Richard had a long career working as a machinist for Rainbo Bread Company for over 30 years. He was a dog lover, greatly enjoyed his collection of hats and cars, and his hobbies included landscaping his yard.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Charles Adams, his parents, David Adams and Jury Ovessie Mosely Adams, three sisters, Eunice Faye Houston, Lovie J. Yarbrough, and Dorothy Mae Adams Ingram, and brothers: Willie James Adams, Donald Adams, William Adams, David Adams Jr., Elotris Adams, Clifford R. Adams, Billy R. Adams, and James Franklin Delawrence Rosevelt Adams.

He is survived by two sisters, Margie Adams Melancon (Errol), and Lourenda Renee Adams Bland, as well as his children, Cecelia Robinson (Foster), stepdaughter Kathy Fisher Edwards, Richard G. Adams Sr. (Tammy), Steve Adams (Yolanda), Linda Davis (Anthony), Ted Adams, Tiffany Joseph (Marcus) and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A home going celebration will occur Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
