Ricardo was originally from Rio Grande Valley, and raised in Sebastian Texas. Born to Luz Lara Oviedo Sr. and Natalia Garza Oviedo he was the 7th of 10 siblings. Always looking for adventure, he left home on life’s journey at the age of 17. Although he left Sebastian, his heart was never far from it always remembering his family. He moved to Houston where he became a father at the age of 24 and eventually the proud father of 5 children.
Those who new him well will remember him for love of family, the Dallas Cowboys, sim-plicity, and for courage and strength of character. He lived his life as he chose, always embracing God’s will, and never afraid of the consequences. Diagnosis of liver cancer would not deter him from life’s challenge. He continued working throughout his illness thus, providing for his family. Obviously too ill to continue working, his beloved wife (Moni) stopped him from working any longer. At age 64, Ricardo was called home. He will be remembered for his love of living and never being afraid but most important for love of his wife and children.
