Remembering Ray today and all he meant to his family

Reza Naderi Eulogy

First of all, Anita and Sarah want to welcome everyone and thank you for coming to the memorial of their husband and father, Reza Naderi.  Today, we come before you to honor his life and reflect on the memories of a man who was so dedicated and devoted to his family.

Reza was born in Mahabad, Iran on December 26, 1955, to Abbas and Rabeeh Naderi.  He completed Architecture and Construction High School in Tabriz, Iran in 1977.  He worked and lived in Tabriz until the early 1980s at which time he chose to make a better life for himself, seeking asylum in the United States.

Reza met his wife, Anita in Houston Texas in 1987.  They were married in 1988. Their daughter, Sarah was born in 1992.  Reza and Anita had just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary September 11, 2013. He was devoted and dedicated to his family.  He was a loving and faithful husband to Anita; a true and honorable husband whom she loved with all her heart.  Reza has left Anita and Sarah with many heartfelt memories that will sustain them both for the rest of their lives.

He was a devoted father to his daughter, working hard to educate her well.  Reza possessed a very strong work ethic.  He worked in the retail industry his entire career.   He was very proud of his daughter Sarah.  He felt that his purpose in life was to make sure that she had a good education and prosperous future. 

He possessed many artistic gifts and creative talents.  He played the drums and was constantly in their garage, which served as his studio, creating various works of art.  Their home and yard are filled with all of his creations.  Reza's heart and spirit will remain visible there.

He was always trying to help others.  If anyone was sick, he would be asking his wife Anita, (who is a nurse) to search the internet for cures and advice.  He loved to joke and laugh with others.  He never met a stranger.  He would have no qualms standing up anywhere and dancing around just to make you laugh.

Reza was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from us on April 10, 2014.  My husband believed in God.  I have to trust in my husband and in my faith that this is all part of God's plan; that Reza is in a better world, waiting for us to join him one day.   We will miss you terribly, my love.  Words can't even begin to express how much.  You will remain in our hearts forever.  Until we meet again……
