Rene Sanchez

June 22, 1944. He died Monday, April 27, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He passed of

natural causes, peacefully at home in his sleep. He was 75 years old. He is survived by

his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Guerra Sanchez, caring mother in law, Mage

Guerra, and sons: Daniel Patrick (Melissa) Sanchez, Albert J. (Maria Del Pilar)

Sanchez, as well grandchildren: Kendall Briones Sanchez, Connor Briones Sanchez,

Pilar Sanchez, Vanessa C. Sanchez, Albert I. Sanchez, Rene A. Sanchez, and Miguel

Sanchez, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his

daughter Jackelyn Ruby Sanchez, and son Rene Miguel Sanchez.

Rene was an entrepreneur. He owned and operated several businesses including

successful restaurants in Texas. He built a successful food supply company

concentrating on tortillas and restaurant products. His business ventures were quite

fitting as he was a master chef, his dishes were wide in range and deep in depth of

culinary expertise. He effortlessly turned the mundane into masterpieces.

Rene was a quick witted, kind and gentle man. His humor brought levity and joy to all

who knew him. He had a deep affection for animals and nature. He once taught a

favorite cat to roll over and sing on command. His gardening and landscapes were the

envy of neighbors; he took great pride in his glorious plants and fragrant roses. He had

a passion for baseball and boxing, the Astros and Cubs were his teams. Sammy Sosa

and Cesar Chavez were among his all time favorites. The Days of HBO Pay Per View

were main events at his fun loving home. Rene will be missed by all who knew and

loved him, but the many sweet memories will live on forever in our hearts.

A drive through visitation for Rene will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel North, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. Following the drive through visitation will be a burial from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
