Reginald Wayne Flye, Sr.

Reginald Wayne Flye, Sr., was born on August 26, 1955, in Bay City, Texas to the late Steve and Armentha Flye.  He was the 8th of nine children.  Those who were close to him, affectionately called him Foe.  Reginald graduated from Bay City High School and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in October 1974.  Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he entered the Houston Fire Department in 1978 where he served until he retired as a Captain in 2009.  In 1989, Reginald became a licensed personal trainer and started his business, Fitness Reggiement, training at various gyms around the city until the very end.  Reginald’s greatest passion was fitness and his goal was to save lives by promoting health and good fitness.  Reginald is preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Armentha Flye; his brother Tim Flye, Sr.; his sister, Rosetta Flye; and his grandparents, Willie and Annie Mae Lewis.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years, Glenda Flye and the children of their union, Kacey and Reggie Flye Jr.  Reginald is also survived by his two daughters, Shawana Lee and Shemyra Sanford; four grandchildren, six siblings; Genola Hill, Wilma Stredic, Lyndell Andrews, Steve Flye Jr., Maudesta Moore, and Annette Dale. Reginald was also loved dearly by a host of nieces, nephews, clients and friends.  _________________________________________________________
