I retired from UT Police a year ago, and on December 5, 2022, Regina had called me, and we were discussing retirement and UT Benefits and the proper time to submit forms. How shocked and saddened I was to hear of her passing away. She was always kind and witty, always cracking a joke. She was the first to help out if you needed someone to cover a shift for you. She was a friend you could talk to, bounce ideas off of, and rely on to lend a hand and have your back. She will be remembered fondly and missed greatly.



My condolences to the family. For a person that's always so vocal. I find myself at a loss for words. Such a caring person who made time to speak and check on my well-being every time we crossed paths. We last talked the Tuesday before God called her home. We talked and laughed. She offered me some most welcomed advice. We parted ways, laughing, not knowing God's plan. My prayers are with the family. Rest in paradise, Sgt. Sanders. 

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Sanders. When I heard of the passing of Sgt. Sanders, I was in disbelief of hearing that news, that my heart sank in hearing it. I had just seen her a couple of weeks ago before the Christmas holiday and everything seemed fine. She was such a caring person, that I had a family member that was going under procedure and she would always ask to see how that family member was doing every day even if she was having a busy day at work. And that makes a difference. I will miss interacting with her, but she is in a better place with the Lord in heaven. May she rest in peace.



I’ve struggled the last couple of weeks trying to wrap my head around the fact that I had just seen you, then a couple of days later you were gone.  It still doesn’t seem real to me.  Our interactions were always pleasant. You loved being a police officer, then sergeant.  You were a great sergeant. I will hold especially close to my heart the opportunity I had to have lunch with you at the  Women in Law Enforcement seminar we attended. I knew who Sgt. Sanders was but that is when I was introduced to Regina. To your family and close friends; I pray that God gives you a peace that surpasses all understanding and that you trust in the Lord for what you can’t see to get you through this difficult time.

My biggest friend. My person. My shoulder to lean on. I Miss you dearly. I Miss talking to you. I have so much to tell you. God knows how much I miss you. You became my family. Love you  ❤️

Got your head! You had no idea I was messing with you. You were always doing your job, working  hard. Meanwhile, I played—so many fun memories. Always laughing. Inseparable.

Regina was a wonderful coworker, officer, and supervisor. Whenever I needed help or to be pointed in the right direction, she would always try to assist in any way she could. I appreciate the caring soul she was and the way she positively impacted those who came in contact with her. I pray for the family, friends and colleagues of Regina. May the lord grant us all peace, for the people who we miss and are no longer able to see on this Earth. 

May God the Father receive you with open Arms, May God send Angels of comfort and peace to your dear Family and Love one's.

The passing of Sgt. Sanders was sudden and caught everyone off 
guard.  I had just seen her for what would be the final time, as I 
proceeded to exit the parking garage, on the previous Monday.
In my experience, Sgt. Sanders was approachable, friendly, and
helpful.  She is already missed.

To the Family of Regina,

The Parish of St. John Vianney is so saddened to learn of Regina's death.  She was a tremendous aid to us in serving as one of our security officers.  She was a so very kind and attentive to our parishioners.  We will miss her and her lovely smile and comforting presence.  Please be assured of our prayers for her soul and our prayers for you during this time of your grief and loss.  May the Lord in HIs generous and loving mercy give you comfort and heal your pain.  
May the angels lead Regina into paradise and may the martyrs come to welcome her and take her to the holy city of God's glory!

Regina I'm still at a lost for words.  I truly enjoyed our conversations and laughter's here at UTPD.  I will miss your smile and your kind words .    Sending Sincere Sympathy to the Sanders Family... Rest in Heavenly peace.

Regina was a great friend and an even better co-worker. She taught me the ropes on some jobs we worked, and I appreciate it  immensely. I was deeply saddened to hear the news, but I am glad I could help her continue  to help animals, even through her passing. You will be greatly missed, thank you for everything!

We worked together for many years and I always enjoyed our chats.  You will be greatly missed.  I know you are in perfection now sitting with the Lord.  Sending you much love and sending prayers to your family.

We used to hang out in the garage after work and just talk about life in general. You were very kind and had a big heart. I am going to miss you.  May God keep your family strong in this time of pain.

I was able to work with Regina for 15 years or so and she will definitely be missed.  Regina’s willingness to help others showed as she was apart of UT Police Peer Support program.  Sending prayers to her family and friends and ask that God watch all of us at this sad time.
