Raymond (Ray) John Carpenter Jr. passed on January 12, 2020, at the age of 42. He was born May 18, 1977 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He served in the United States Marine Corps, as an Avionics Technician. After being honorably discharged, he moved to Houston, Texas where he spent the next 20 years. During that time he flourished in his career as a Consultant and Project Manager in the security industry. A proud Marine veteran, Ray carried the Semper Fi motto throughout his life, always standing strong for his family. He took great pride and joy in supporting his family in all of their endeavors.
He enjoyed fishing, playing video and board games, watching and learning about the military, history, sports, science, and technology, spending time with his family and friends, and light-hearted banter with his kids. He cherished the time he spent watching sci-fi and super hero movies with his son. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father Reimund Carpenter, his grandparents Dallas and Eve Carpenter, and uncle Robert Carpenter. He is survived by his children, Erica Carpenter and Ryland Carpenter, his former wife, Valerie Carpenter, his brothers John, Dallas, and James Carpenter, and his mother, Melissa Henry.
