Matt and I have been crossing paths since we were kids, we recently crossed paths during treatments at MD Anderson and I was blessed to get to reminisce about some fun childhood times we shared. I will continue my fight against this horrible thing we call cancer in his memory.

Karol, I cannot imagine Matt being anything but a good human being. You wanted to be a parent since you yourself were a tiny child. He was fortunate to have you as his mom. I remember your mom, your dad, and your grandparents, Cora and Fafa. I believe he is with them all and will be cared for until you're together again. Please accept my deepest condolences. Matt, you, and your family are in my prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Matt's death.  We did not know him but heard about him from other family members.  We offer our hands folded in prayer for the whole family, we know Matt is in the arms of Our Lord Jesus.

I just heard about Matt this afternoon. He was always nice to me and was a stand up guy. We lost touch after high school, but I enjoyed hanging out with him when I was younger and will remember the good times. One memory that sticks is sledding behind golf carts and trash can lids. It wasn't the safest thing in the world, but it was definitely a blast. Thoughts to the family.

I am so sorry, Karol.  Now, I realize Zac and Matt are talking about fishing!  Not cancer....we share journeys of our sons fighting cancer.  Now we share the hardest life challenge of trying to live somehow without our precious sons.  It's not right, it's not fair, it sucks.  I hate that this is what brought us together again.  Just know, I understand and I will always be here for you.  Our lives are forever changed.  You never get relief of the pain.  You just take one day at a time and one day you might find something to smile about, for that moment.  Those are the moments that get you through.  Sorry, I cannot be with you tomorrow.  I have friends staying with me, that the husband had prostate cancer surgery yesterday.  I wanted to help them...he did good and should be fine.  Sometimes miracles do happen.  I will be with you in spirit and just wish I could give you a huge hug and help you get through this.  Sending hugs and love to you...xxx
