Mr. Taylor was drafted in the U.S. Army and served in Company A 536 Amphibious Tractor Battalion during WWII.
On November 14, 1947, he married Veatrice La Merle Miller in Houston.
Mr. Taylor retired from Dun & Bradstreet. He was an avid golfer, gardener and reader.
Mr. Taylor was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include wife, Veatrice La Merle Miller Taylor of Houston;
sons and daughters-in-law Craig and Diane Taylor of East Bernard , Stanley and Phyllis Taylor of Lumberton,
and grandchildren, Kimberly Rhea Taylor Jaeger, Michelle Kyleen and Thomas Miller, Bryan and Carrie Taylor,
great grandchildren, Kaytlynn Rayne Brookfield and Jessica Michelle Jaeger.
