Mrs. Norwood & Kara, I remember the first time that I met Ray at the church for a service like it was yesterday.  We sat and talked for awhile and really enjoyed talking to each other from that moment to our last day working together.  I am so honored to have been Ray's friend, and working with him at Memorial Oaks.  We are so happy to have had him on our team because I know he really enjoyed working with families at there time of need.  My prayers will continue to be with you and your family. Our Lord has a great new angel up there keeping everyone smiling and laughing.  God Bless You :)

Sammie & Kara we are sorry for your loss. Rayford always made us feel special and loved and he could bring so much warmth into a room. We felt a true connection from Rayford and made me feel as one of the family. He will be missed but we all have our special memories and moments to hold onto. To have known Rayford enriched our lives. Our prayers will be expressed for you during these difficult times. In Christian Love.

Sammie and Kara please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Rayford was always a pleasure to spend time with and always had that special way about him to bring a smile to everyone. Rayford could bring comfort to us during the worst of times. I will always remember the times we spent together with Jim, his brother, those special last few days. The best man I knew was my Father, Welton Norwood. Rayford reminds me of my Dad. God has blessed us all.

We are so very sorry to hear of your tremendous loss of Ray, This street will never be the same without Ray's friendly smile and wave as we pass by the house as we go about our daily routines.  Always a great friend and neighbor, Ray was always there with a helping hand for anyone in need.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mrs. Norwood,  I worked with Ray at the funeral home ... many nights when I was leaving for the day he was there in the front lobby attending to another family's visitation ... he always had a smile and a friendly goodnight for me ... I will miss him.  May God comfort you and your daughter during this most difficult time.

The Spring Shadows Civic Association is truly grateful for the many years of volunteer service that Ray contributed. Ray was a great friend, neighbor and he will be dearly missed by all of us.

As a director for the Spring Shadows Civic Association, Ray was always willing to step up and help, whatever the project.  His positive attitude and strong work ethic will be missed.  We, SSCA, are the better because of him.
