Ray Nez McQueen

Ray Nez McQueen was born on September 29, 1940 to Mallue and Mary B. White in Houston, Texas. She received her formal education in the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School.

Ray Nez worked for the University of Texas in the medical center as a laboratory technician. She was devoted to her family and took pride in caring for them. She was the primary caregiver for her mother and had a hand in the upbringing of her nieces (Sharon, Cathy) and her grandchildren.

Ray Nez was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 4th, 1987. She fought the good fight of faithful service and remained loyal to Jehovah.

Ray Nez departed from this life on Friday April 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years John H. McQueen, parents; Mallue (Dorothy) and Mary B. White, sister; Beulah Mae White, stepbrother; George Bass, sons; Martin McQueen and Michael McQueen.

She leaves to cherish her memory son; Mark McQueen, brothers; Mallin White, Malvin White, stepbrothers; James Bass, Chesterfield Bass, 4 grandchildren; Donquil McDaniel (Erica), Stephen McQueen, Stephanie McQueen, Ashley McQueen Johnson (Alvin), 7 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
