Ray L. Collins

Ray Lynn Collins, age 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Born in Houston, Texas, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He retired as a Houston Police Officer after 36 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where he was part of The Men’s Club and The Gathering Club, and Knights of Columbus #2917. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Marie Hibchen. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Frances Collins; daughter, Patricia Tilotta; grandchildren, Chaz Tilotta, Brittany Hughes and husband JT, and Christy Tilotta; great grandsons, Liam Hughes, and Conor Hughes who is on his way; brother, Jack Collins and wife Julia; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven.
