Ray Henry Barr

Ray Henry Barr, 74, of Kemah went to be with his Lord Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born February 14, 1937 in Bellville, TX to Herbert and Faye Barr. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Virginia Barr; Children, Ray Barr Jr., Ernest Barr and wife Trudee, Linda Hoffman and Johnny Parrish, Ron Pruett and wife Belinda, Candace Scherer and husband Rob; 2 brothers, Leo Barr and wife Billie, David Barr and wife Margie; sister, Faybelle McCarty; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Ayers, Jerimiah Burley, Jody Thomas, Kahla Pruett, 3 great-grandchildren, Carlene, Molly, and Emma; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to Aida Tinney for all her love and care she gave to Ray and his family with his stay at Meadow Glenn PCH. Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home at the Chapel of Chimes. A celebration of life will be 2:30 pm Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel of Chimes. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
