Roy Olivo, age 67, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He was born on April 15, 1954 in Houston, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, “Paw Paw,” son, and brother. He proudly served in the United States Air Force where he was awarded the Efficiency, Honor, and Fidelity Medal among numerous other decorations. Roy’s greatest joy was being with his family and creating memories for them that would last a lifetime. He was a hardworking jack-of-all trades and touched so many lives in his community. He was known for his humor, generosity, creativity, and loving character.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Letisia Olivo; children: Jessica Degracia and husband Eddie, Danielle Castillo and husband Alfred, Santino Olivo, Michael Olivo, Sara Olivo and fiancé Ross, and Vincent Olivo and fiancé Nichole; grandchildren: Isabella Degracia, Dominic Castillo, Royce Castillo, Amadeo Degracia, Anthea Degracia, and Xavier Olivo; parents, Samuel and Carmen Olivo; siblings: Samuel Olivo Jr. and wife Olga, Olivia Davis and husband Keith, Robert Olivo and wife Stella, Richard Olivo and wife Norma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitation on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. The funeral service will occur at 2:00pm followed by a graveside service at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
