Raul Jordan Ruiz

Born on October 23rd, 1948 in Cerritos, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He will be missed dearly by his wife of 47 years, Lorenza Gloria (Izaguirre) his children, Sonia Berenice Jordan, Raul (Christine) Jordan Jr., and Adrian Jesus (Zoe) Jordan. His grandchildren Saul Rodriguez, Analea Jordan, and Raul Jordan III. His pet tortoise “la muchacha”, his pet dog “little lady” and his pet parakeet “mamacita”.

Raul Jordan was the son of Daniel and Maria Isabel Jordan and raised in Agua del Medio, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He was a devoted father and loving husband. He loved music, watching old Mexican movies, agriculture, animals, and spending time with his family.

In his free time, Raul enjoyed scrolling on Tiktok for videos of horses and farming, listening to his favorite musical artist Juan Gabriel on Youtube, and watching his Chicago Cubs play baseball or Spanish novelas on TV! Joined by his grandchildren he enjoyed visiting the horse stables and a nearby pond to see the turtles and ducks.

Raul will always be remembered as a strong-willed man, and for having the biggest sweet tooth for candy, cookies, and vanilla ice cream! Each night before bed, Raul would insist on eating a jello or Tapioca pudding, sometimes both!

A visitation for Raul will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary service will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Leo Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
