Ramiro A. Flores, 88, of Houston, Texas also affectionately known as Ram and Popo, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2015. A native Houstonian, served in the Merchant Marines, married Felice Flores and together they had seven children. He retired from Texas Electric Steel Casting Company “TESCO” after 40 years of service. He enjoyed visiting with his family, traveling, movies, telling stories of the past, the casino and his daily visits to see his friends at Papa Burger. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather full of knowledge, strength and the love of life. He was preceded in death by his parents Napoleon R. Flores and Maria Louisa Flores, his son Rudy Flores and sister Ana Maria Trujillo, survived by his wife Felice Flores, 3 sisters Helena F. Schnur, Gloria F. Rodriguez, Marina A. Hernandez and brother Guadalupe A. Flores. Leaving behind his 6 children, Ramsey Flores and wife Sylvia, Richard Flores and wife Gloria, Anna Becerra and her husband Mario Garcia, Helen Castillo and her husband Raul, Stella Gurley and her husband Philip, Diana Slade and her husband David; 16 grandchildren, Richard Dow and his wife Mandy, Lisa Chapa and her husband Romeo, Darlene Dow, Veronica Flores, Denise Flores, Michelle Becerra and her husband David Leone, Jennifer Ramirez and her husband Michael, Bryan Mercado, Joseph Becerra, Ashley Chavez-Gurley, Daniel Becerra, Thomas Castillo, Andrew Castillo, Jordan Gurley, Zachary Gurley and Alexa Gurley; 9 great-grandchildren, Joshua Sarabia, Deserai Calderon and her husband Edwin, Carla Leal, Andrew Martinez, Richie Dow, Ramsey Dow, Ryder Dow, and Brandon Lewis; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Ramiro Garcia, Darla Garcia and Julian Calderon to pass on his love, lessons and legacy.
