Ralph Jirón Moore, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed into eternal rest on January 16, 2018. He was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on December 3, 1940. He proudly became an American citizen on November 23, 1956. Ralph graduated from Reagan High School in 1958. He married his sweetheart, Rama Dean Ray Moore on May 2, 1959. He met her at a high school dance; that very night he told his friend he was going to marry her. They danced to “At the Hop” and then “Save the Last Dance for Me.” He loved her dearly for 60 years. Today and forever they dance in heaven.
Ralph, the “Wood Nut”, worked in pattern making/woodworking as owner of A+ Pattern & Model Works. He had a passion for family, music, handcrafted wood art and inventing an automatic crossbow. He was well loved by his friends and family. He was a godly man, kind and compassionate. He shared love and friendship to those in need. He was an inventor at heart, always designing and drawing new inventions. His hard working hands have built houses from the ground up. He loved music and always had a song to hum. His legacy will never be forgotten, he is forever in the hearts of his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his four children, Ralph Lynn Moore and wife Terry, Carol Little and husband George “Bucky”, Karen Woods and husband Rick, Teresa Clark and husband Rick; seven grandchildren, Houston Fontaine, Christopher Moore, Kimberly Clifton, Kristin Johnson and husband Shannon, John Metcalf, Jr. and Courtney Walters, Erik Woods, and Lauren Clark; seven great-grandchildren, Kathryn Clifton, Cheyanne Clifton, Savana Clifton, Aleczander Gonzalez, Serenity Gonzalez, Sora Johnson and John (J.T.) Metcalf, III. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rama, and parents, Margarita Moore and Evelio Valverde.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 12:30 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, with a burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
